Samsun Heritage RB cymbals have complex hammering, open lathing and a raw un-lathed bell. They have a gritty, yet warm sound with some smooth complexity.
Samsun cymbals are handcrafted in Turkey from B20 bronze. Samsun was started 20 years ago by Mustafa Diril, who was a cymbal-smith in the original Istanbul cymbal factory. Mustafa was also a founding member of the cymbal company that made the ‘Twenty’ series for Paiste and the ‘Byzance’ range for Meinl.
