Up for is a Revive Audio Modified Vintage DBX 163 auto compressor.

This comp sounds super cool on a number of sources from bass to vocals and has huge dynamic range with some spank and slight distortion compliments of the VCA transistor Array that use for compression.

Best explained they are an auto compressor with a bit of attitude and only one dial to rule them all. everything is is auto making them easy as can be to use.

For vintage vibe its a go to for many sources. For snare and character vocals its excellent. very smooth indeed, great for overheads as well as vocals and acoustic guitar.

On these we modify the entire audio path at all stages for high fidelity and great audio performance.

We use High Performance Burr Brown opamps and low noise capacitors. They are also re-capped and the power supply modified for lower noise and better current delivery. Bypassing is performed all over the circuit as well for lower noise. Audio grade capacitors are installed in key location with value adjustments for the ideal audio response from the design.

In addition, On This Classic 163 we have added XLR Pigtails for both input and output.

This unit has been re-capped and modified here at Revive Audio and comes with a full 6-month warranty.

The service increases the headroom of the unit, widens the frequency response and increases the details of the three dimensional image.
