Vintage Rogers Holiday Floor and Mounted Tom Set (Cleveland, Dayton, and Fullerton)

I don't know a whole lot about these. I purchased from the original owner's son with BIG ambitions to restore them. Unfortunately, life's plans get in the way, so it is time to pass on to someone who wants to invest the elbow grease to create an amazing kit!

The Floor Tom shows the original Rogers 'Strata' finish wrap.

The son decided to 'update' them by painting the two mounted toms black. But didn't like how the original finish showed through so he stopped. He switched some mounts, blah, blah, blah… you know the story… someone thinks they are a drum customizer and doesn't know diddly squat!

So these drums need you to give them some TLC. You know the drill… 'handle with care' to bring back their natural beauty.

The son said his dad purchased the set from the Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood after watching the Dave Clark Five on TV.

 The solid grey interiors indicates that these are early 1960s. I have been told the Cleveland and the Dayton models were both made at Covington. Production was later moved to Fullerton. These drums have Beavertail lugs which replaced the Bread and Butter model lugs that cracked easily. 

Hell, parts alone (Beavertail lugs, floor tom mounts, legs, and hoops) are worth more than the asking price.

Once you're done with the restoration, you will get to enjoy the great Rogers sound that these shells produce.
