1968 Ludwig 405 in good condition. I tried to highlight the scratches on the shell and rust on the hoops. I purchased this with a full vintage Ludwig drum set and cymbals a few years ago.
- It doesn't appear to have replacement parts to me.
Up for sale is a completely original 1968 Ludwig No. 405 Piccolo snare drum (3x13") featuring the classic Keystone badge. This drum is a fantastic, honest player's grade piece with excellent collector provenance.Key Details:
- 100% All-Original Hardware: Includes the original P-83 strainer, baseball-bat muffler, original hoops, tension rods, and all 10 Downbeat lugs (no cracks or stripped threads).
- Factory "E" Mark: The interior shell is completely untouched and features the original handwritten factory inspector "E" grease pencil mark from the Chicago assembly line.
- Condition: Good vintage condition. The Ludalloy shell has typical minor pitting and light surface scratches expected for its age, but no major peeling or structural issues.
