Built in Neptune New Jersey, the point to point, hand wired Danelectro DM25 is a stowaway piggyback design, meaning the head can store in the back of the cab when not in use. It pushes 25 watts through a 1×12 inch Jensen C12Q speaker. It is 2 channels with reverb and tremolo on channel 2. Controls include:
Channel 1: Volume, Treble, Bass
Channel 2: Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Vib Strength, Vib Speed
All tubes are vintage including the Sylvania 7189 power tubes which are a higher voltage EL84. The splashy reverb is a separate circuit from the preamp so you can play just the reverb which is a cool and unique sound.
The tone is bright but full and the Bass and Treble controls are very effective at shaping the highs and lows. Both channels sound the similar. The amp stays clean up to about 10:00 on the volume then ventures into overdrive territory. Pushing the volume further results in more distortion which would be ideal for garage rock tones. The amp doesn't get much louder as the volume knob is moved past 1:00. In general, it's not overly loud.
The tube lineup includes one 6X4 rectifier, one 6FQ7 and three 12AX7 preamp tubes, and two 7189 power tubes. All are vintage.
The amp was recently serviced and fully tested. Overall, it is in very clean condition.
