Ibanez 1984 MC924
A sound with a tight core and real warmth. This is a 1984 MC924. Ibanez's Musician (MC) series captivated top musicians worldwide from the late 1970s through the 1980s with its through-neck construction and original body shape. The MC924, the top model of its day, is a so-called mid-period example with a PJ pickup layout. The through-neck construction gives it rich sustain along with a tight, focused, thick, and clear tone. Because the 3-band EQ's sweep is centered more toward the midrange, the overall voice leans warm and soft.
