Not a scratch on it. And last it does come with instructions. A 25 dollar 380 page mandolin for dummies book. And a cool checkerboard strap that is properly mounted under the strings and around the neck.

This is a complete package. I bought it for myself and really wanted to learn, but I have chubby bass players fingers and they don’t go great with a mandolin. My loss. Your gain.
