Beautiful handcrafted Tony Graziano ukulele built in Santa Cruz, California in 2012. Serial/build number 602.

Tony Graziano is a highly regarded Santa Cruz luthier known for individually handcrafted ukuleles, and this is an especially striking example. It features extensive abalone appointments, a beautifully figured back and sides, Grover open-gear tuners, and excellent overall craftsmanship.

WOODS & CONSTRUCTION:

Based on the appearance, grain characteristics, and known materials used in Tony Graziano's instruments, we believe this ukulele features a redwood top with highly figured lacewood back and sides, along with a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard and bridge.

Please note that these wood species have not been independently confirmed by the builder, so we cannot guarantee the exact species. They are our best identification based on the instrument itself and known Graziano construction practices. Please refer closely to the photos for the actual wood and figuring.

CONDITION:

Overall, this is a very clean and lightly played example. It shows some light finish swirls and minor signs of handling/play consistent with age, but presents beautifully overall. The frets retain plenty of life.

Please note: There appears to be some glue separation along portions of the outer edges of the bridge, as pictured. The bridge remains firmly seated overall, and wanted to disclose it for complete transparency. Please review the close-up photos.
