"I'iwi" is crafted by Charlie Fukuba on Oahu, Hawaii. He is a veteran luthier with a long career among the many Hawaiian luthiers and is considered one of the charismatic luthiers. This instrument is a used soprano size from 2004. The top is made of beautifully figured Hawaiian koa. Hawaiian koa sides and back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, pearl dot fingerboard inlay, designer rosette, wood binding, white button gold friction tuners. The flowing design of the rosette is made of sea oyster shell. This guitar is crafted from pearls cut into a unique design. The "I'iwi" (Hawaiian honeysuckle) inlay on the headstock is also beautiful. While there are some scratches, playing wear, and string slippage under the bridge, there are no cracks in the wood. The neck is in good condition and the playability is excellent. This guitar offers the sweet yet crisp and pleasant sound characteristic of Hawaiian koa wood. E'iwi guitars are becoming increasingly rare and their prices are soaring. Please consider this guitar. A generic hard case is included.
