The Roland FP-40 Digital Piano combines an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard with Piano Reality sound for expressive practice, performance, and music study. Escapement and Ivory Feel support a familiar weighted response, while 256-note polyphony helps sustained notes and layered passages remain clear.

Sound and Speaker System

Choose from 40 tones directly on the piano, with 265 additional tones available through the Roland Piano App. The stereo speaker system uses two 8 x 12 cm speakers, each powered by 12 W. Piano Reality Headphones Ambience supports focused private practice through headphones.

Practice, Recording, and Connectivity

Dual, Split, Twin Piano, transpose, metronome, adjustable touch, Ambience, and Brilliance settings support lessons and daily practice. Record one part as a Standard MIDI File, play WAV and MP3 files from a compatible USB flash drive, or connect through USB Type-C for audio and MIDI. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4 support compatible Roland apps and wireless audio or MIDI functions.

The compact cabinet weighs 30 pounds 14 ounces with the music rest attached. Output jacks, two pedal connections, a USB memory port, and a stereo headset jack make the FP-40 adaptable for home, teaching, rehearsal, and studio setups.
