For sale is a 16x16 red sparkle Slingerland floor tom, made in Niles, Illinois between 1963 and 1969 (black and brass oval badge with a serial number). 3-ply shell with reinforcement rings. Chrome over brass hoops. New Remo heads.
Good condition. This drum has been used and there are some scratches and scrapes in the finish — please see the photos. One nice thing about a sparkle finish is that scratches aren’t noticeable under stage lighting. Also, the tuning rods don’t match, so some or maybe all are unoriginal, but they work fine. And there’s a small dent in top of one of the hoops.
