I've been happily mixing on these speakers for years. With the 10" woofer you don't need a sub. I have not noticed any listener fatigue with these speakers.

I have sensitive ears and the speakers were mounted 1 meter away - I rarely listen loud. These speakers are pretty accurate and have a nice sound stage.
