The Keeley Hydra combines stereo reverb and tremolo in one powerful, compact pedal, giving guitarists and bassists a versatile collection of ambience and modulation effects without requiring multiple stompboxes. With three reverb modes, three tremolo types, stereo operation, presets, tap tempo, and flexible effect routing, the Hydra can handle everything from subtle vintage ambience to deep, atmospheric soundscapes.
The reverb section provides three distinctive options: Spring, Plate, and Room. Spring delivers the familiar character of classic amplifier-style reverb, Plate provides a smooth and spacious response, and Room creates natural ambience that can add anything from subtle depth to a much larger sense of space.
The tremolo section offers Sine, Vibrato, and Harmonic modes for three different approaches to modulation. Sine provides smooth, traditional volume pulsing, while Vibrato and Harmonic modes open the door to more colorful vintage-inspired movement and textures. Built-in tap tempo makes it easy to synchronize the modulation rate while performing.
One of the Hydra’s most useful features is the ability to change the order of the reverb and tremolo effects. This allows players to explore different textures depending on which effect feeds into the other, adding another layer of flexibility without requiring changes to the pedalboard signal chain.
Three user preset locations let you save favorite combinations and recall them quickly for different songs or sections of a performance. An Infinite Hold function extends reverb tails for sustained ambient textures, while the TRS expression pedal input provides real-time control over parameters while you play.
Full stereo inputs and outputs make the Hydra equally suited to traditional pedalboards, stereo amplifier rigs, and studio setups. Whether you need classic spring reverb and tremolo, spacious ambient effects, or more experimental combinations, the Keeley Hydra provides a tremendous amount of control in one pedal.
