The Epiphone MM-50E Professional Mandolin in Vintage Natural is an F-style acoustic-electric mandolin featuring a unique Quad NanoMag pickup system designed to adjust individual string-pair volume.
Design and Construction
- Features a classic Lloyd Loar-inspired F-style body shape with multi-binding.
- Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and flamed maple back and sides.
- Includes a maple "C"-profile neck and a 23-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.
- Finished in a glossy or satin Vintage Natural look with nickel hardware.
Electronics and Innovation
- Developed with Shadow Germany, utilizing a low-impedance "Quad" NanoMag humbucker with Samarium cobalt magnets.
- Features separate coils under each of the four string pairs with high crosstalk separation (>85dB).
- Onboard controls on the pickguard include master volume, treble, bass, and four individual string-pair output trimpots adjusted with a mini screwdriver.
- Powered by an internal #2032 lithium coin battery.
