Camco Los Angeles 22, 12, 13, and 16" set owned by endorser Maury Baker 1970's - Walnut with Gold Hardware

It’s time for me to sell my beloved Los Angeles Camco Kit that was owned by Camco Endorser Maury Baker, who sadly passed away in October of last year. Maury played with Janis Joplin at Woodstock, which is only a single footnote in his remarkable career that spanned Rock, Jazz and Classical music.

The kit is 22, 12, 13, 16 in a Walnut finish with Gold-tone hardware. The 70’s Pearl Tom Mounts are less than ideal when setting it up as a traditional 5-piece, but work great in a 4-piece configuration. These mounts were chosen by Maury and factory installed - there are no extra holes on this kit. Bass drum has double curved spurs. I played the set sparingly at home during the time I’ve owned it and had it set up with RIMS mounts for an incredible sound! Missing the mufflers, plenty of scuffs and scrapes, replacement bottom hoops and BD claws/rods on the batter side. I have not done any restoration work on this set other than dusting it off. Heads are Fresh Ambassadors top and bottom. The Keller Shell maple interiors are gorgeous and the bearing edges are factory and in good shape. Serial number 1262, which would place them on the back end of L.A. Camco production.
