B.C. Rich Japan IG-851 Ironbird - Red - VERY GOOD condition

Made in Japan, the B.C. Rich IG-851 Ironbird in the striking Red finish. The IG-851 was part of B.C. Rich Japan's lineup around 1990 and is an increasingly uncommon example of the Japanese-made Ironbird models from this era.

The guitar is in very good condition overall, showing normal signs of regular use consistent with its age. There are some areas of damage on the tips of the wings, which are typical for this aggressive body shape, along with some scratches and minor cosmetic marks throughout the instrument. Besides these imperfections, the guitar presents very well. None of the mentioned wear affects its functionality or structural integrity.

The IG-851 features a bolt-on construction with a maple body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The compact neck profile and 24.75" scale length give the guitar a fast and comfortable playing feel, while the aggressive Ironbird body shape provides the unmistakable B.C. Rich appearance.

It is equipped with a pair of original B.C. Rich/ DiMarzio humbuckers, providing a powerful and direct sound well suited to hard rock and metal. The guitar features a 3-way pickup selector, two volume controls, and a master tone control, offering a straightforward and versatile layout.

Additional features include B.C. Rich tuners, a Gotoh tremolo system, and black hardware. The Japanese-made IG-851 is an increasingly difficult model to find, particularly compared with later and more common Ironbird versions.
