The MP-220 doubles up: two dynamic drivers per side, which is where the incredible low end comes from — the pair for bass players, drummers, and anyone whose monitor mix lives below 200 Hz — while the mids and highs stay precise.
Like the rest of Mackie's MP line, the shells are low-profile molded enclosures with up to 40 dB of isolation, and the shielded braided cable detaches on swiveling MMCX connectors, so the part that always fails first is replaceable.
