A single contra bass bar from Sonor's Primary Line, pitched to Bb. This is the deep end of an Orff ensemble: it sounds an octave below a bass xylophone or metallophone, and one or two of these under a classroom arrangement give it a floor the way a timpani or bass would in a band. Pao rosa (rosewood) bar on a birch resonator box with 100% glued seams, no screws. The box has a tuning adjuster so you can tame the volume and ring in a live room, and the note name is printed on the bar to help with reading.
The KSP 60 X is available in F, F#, G, A, Bb, and B. FSC-certified wood. Mallets are not included; soft yarn mallets are recommended.
