🚨 CONDITION AND MATERIALS NOTE: This is a rare, highly collectible early 1970s Ludwig Chicago-era time capsule featuring a specialized smooth white marching film. While on both sides, this heavy single-ply 12-mil head features an internal woven reinforcement mesh grid suspended inside the core of the film (see backlit closeup). This mesh adds immense durability while delivering an incredibly fat, warm, and focused vintage acoustic fundamental tone that records like an absolute dream.

There are some minor cosmetic ripples/crinkles near the hoop seam and some internal ply separation lines visible along the raw chemical resin edge ring that is normal for a head of this construction and vintage. These should straighten out upon seating. The head is completely un-played and ready to seat perfectly. Please see pics for details and message with any questions.

The head has been safely sealed inside a 3mil protective sleeve to lock out ambient moisture and dust. It will be packed flat and between cardboard panels to protect against transit warping or flexing. Ships fully insured with direct carrier tracking throughout.
