shells are carbon fiber construction with blue tinted top coat with holographic pearl flake. The drums look black in one light, midnight blue in another light, and sparkling in another.

There are some minor flaws in the outer finish that I have tried to best document in pictures. They are difficult to notice but there so I have documented as accurately as possible. This is one reason for the reasonable price. The 8” tom has one spot where the carbon fiber shows the blue composite inner layer. The 14” floor tom has a minor bubble on the finish. The underside of the bass drum shows minor spotting in the finish. These are all flaws of my finishing steps and do not diminish the tonal qualities of the drums; nor are they apparent on stage or without very close inspection. These drums are rock solid and will last a lifetime. Very happy to provide FaceTime video of each drum and specifics.
