Meinl HDJ600KF Headliner Series Djembe – Kilt Finish

This is the Meinl Headliner Series “Kilt Finish” djembe, featuring Meinl’s distinctive red-and-black plaid pattern. The Kilt Finish has since been discontinued, making this a harder-to-find finish from Meinl’s earlier Headliner line.

The djembe measures approximately 12” in diameter and 23.5” tall and is made from Siam Oak (rubberwood), a dense hardwood commonly used in hand percussion for its durability and acoustic qualities. It features a hand-selected goatskin head for a warm, natural tone.

Condition & Finish:

The drum is in very good condition. Barely used after buying brand new. The shell has a glossy lacquered finish. Please see all photos for the exact condition.

Included: Meinl carrying case

The included case is functional and provides padded protection for transporting the drum, although it does show some wear from use. The backpack straps are a very comfortable way of transporting. 

A unique discontinued Meinl finish with a great look and warm, natural djembe tone. Perfect for drum circles, home playing, outdoor sessions, or adding a distinctive piece to a percussion collection. I will miss this as part of my collection, but I’d love someone to give it a life it deserves!
