For sale is a Conn 6D F/Bb double horn.
Serial is GF640xxx so that places it in the mid 70’s. Marked “C.G. Conn LTD USA” on the bell.
This horn is in very good condition with a clear sound and solid intonation. Valves and slides are smooth. No red rot or trauma. lacquer finish is about 75% intact, conservatively.
The horn does have some scattered dings, please see photos. Overall it is really nice For it’s age. There is an old engraving on the 4th trigger arm from an old school owner.
While not the prettiest or fanciest out there, this would be a very solid first double horn or a reliable backup.
Recently cleaned and restrung with new rubber rotor bumpers.
