Shure MV88+ Stereo USB Condenser MicrophoneUSB Condenser Microphone with 4 Selectable Polar Patterns, Onboard DSP, and Accessories - macOS/Windows/iOS/Android

Versatile, Pocket-sized Mic for Any Device

If you’re traveling light but still need a good mic, BNC Electronics recommends the Shure MV88+. This USB condenser microphone builds on the popular MV88 design with Android, Mac, and PC support. Since the MV88+ works with almost all smart devices, you can conduct on-the-fly interviews with your phone or sit down for a scheduled recording session with your computer. While you’re recording, plug into the onboard headphone jack for zero-latency monitoring. The MV88+ can handle any recording situation, thanks to its selectable polar patterns (mono, stereo, bidirectional, raw mid-side). You can tweak every parameter by downloading the free ShurePlus MOTIV app on your device. There is also a selection of presets on tap, or you can create and save your own for instant recall. All of this and more makes the Shure MV88+ USB Condenser microphone a must-have for content creators of all stripes.

With the ShurePlus MOTIV app, you get access to Shure’s extensive DSP control. Inside the app, you can choose from a selection of presets, dial in a custom EQ preset for your voice, tweak compression, or switch polar patterns. You can also save your own presets for compression and enable auto gain. The ShurePlus MOTIV app exists to make recording easy — no matter what device you’re using. The interface is simple yet effective, editing is speedy and intuitive, and you get full 24-bit/48kHz digital resolution. Plus, its compatibility with Dropbox and other export options streamlines the rest of your creative process.

Built tough and ready for real field work

One thing that many field-recording pros consider about mobile mics such as the Shure MV88+ is how well they’ll hold up to real field work. We’re talking about the kind of run-and-gun recording, where you have seconds to get your rig out before losing the chance to capture one-of-a-kind opportunities. Those are the times when you’re going to occasionally fumble with your gear, and it’s going to take a spill. We’re happy to report that the all-metal body handles wear and tear like a champ. What’s more, the MV88 comes complete with a zippered carrying case, which, along with the included accessories, makes this a truly complete kit.
