Mele Guitarlele Six String Ukulele- Natural w/ Case (Guilele/Guitalele)

Wonderful little guilele. Perfect for travel (and airlines), and perfect for the long hours of songwriting or practice. Makes for a lovely little classical guitar too. Beautiful tone. The 1 3/4" Top Nut and 20" scale length is a great spec combination, very playable, not too small at all if you're used to an acoustic or electric guitar. Mele is a beloved Hawaiian manufacturer, and describes this instrument as a baritone Ukulele with room for the two extra bass strings. This model is exceptionally great because it's set up for normal guitar tuning, EADGbe. I am not 100% sure what the body woods are, I suspect it's mahogany, but possibly Koa. The fretboard and bridge are ebony. I've tried to take a lot of pictures in different lights to fully show the breadth of visuals. It's very hard to photograph, in 99% of lightings the finish is perfectly clear, but there is a beautiful crazing to the finish though out. By turning off all the lights, and shining a giant stage light parallel to the finish I was able to capture them, they're gorgeous, but almost completely invisible without doing a weird lighting experiment. Likewise there are numerous dings and evidence of play-wear throughout. A bit of buckle rash, but everything is fully functional, and ready to rock! Tuners are smooth, responsive, and solid. Great instrument!
