Cornerstone Music Gear Centurio 2026 - Present

Brand new just arrived - only managed to snag 5 units. Cornerstone Music Gear Centurio. The classic transparent overdrive circuit, evolved into a two-channel drive.

The appeal of that circuit was always that it did not cover your sound. It pushed the amp harder and left the tone intact. The Centurio takes the same circuit and builds a second, fully independent channel on top of it, each with its own Gain and Volume, switchable on the fly. No extra boxes, no chain built around a single pedal.

Normal is the main channel: independent Gain and Volume, from clean boost to light overdrive, responsive to how hard you pick. Hot Mode is a second independent channel with its own Gain and Volume, adding saturation, compression and weight under the fingers, on a dedicated footswitch.

The Bright switch works on Hot Mode only, up for brighter and down for tighter, giving that channel its own tone control separate from Normal.

The Clip knob sweeps the full range of clipping behaviour rather than switching between fixed options. At minimum you get more headroom and a slightly asymmetrical clip, the looser and more open response of the earliest units. At maximum, a touch more compression and a symmetrical clip, tighter and more defined. Every position in between is usable.

An external footswitch input lets you change channels from anywhere on stage. Runs on 9V DC, centre negative. Assembled by hand in Italy, one pedal at a time.
