Gibson Les Paul Standard ’50s Figured Top in Translucent Oxblood, in excellent/near-mint condition. A couple of light scratches. This is a beautiful and somewhat unusual Les Paul finish. The Translucent Oxblood appears extremely dark—almost black—in normal indoor lighting, but under brighter/direct light the deep red color and AA figured maple top really come through. Classic ’50s Les Paul construction with a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body, AA figured maple top, mahogany neck with Gibson’s rounded ’50s profile, and rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays. Factory Burstbucker 1 neck and Burstbucker 2 bridge pickups with Alnico II magnets give it the classic PAF-style Les Paul sound: warm and full through the neck pickup with plenty of bite and clarity from the bridge. It was professionally set up prior to my purchase and plays beautifully with comfortable action and spot-on intonation. I purchased it recently from Aeonic Frets in this condition.
