Neotek Series iii Jim Williams Built

for sale in the picture is the stereo pair Neotek series 3 mic preamp/EQ‘s. Built into the rack by the infamous Jim Willams who by many is considered the modern day Rupert Neve. amd these preamps and eqs sound eas as good if not better than a lot of Neves I’ve owned and used through out my 39 years of making records and music. As much as I’d love to keep everything I just can’t. At some points you just run outta space and I’ve recently downsized my studio and have a plethora of out board equipment. The EQ on these honestly remind me of a Pultec with such wide sweeping musical surgical spots. Each on one of those EQ knobs pull out to really allow for a deep dive into the frequency. Truly a stunning device on ANY source of any style music. Of Steve Albini used this exact EQ for every thing he did in his lifetime. These are really just unbelievable that more people haven’t racked up more of these and choose them over the usual suspects. Jim Williams did an amazing job on improving the sound as well without taking away their special character. The pre amp are some of the fastest I’ve heard and push the sound upfront without any hint of sterility to be found in any frequency used. Warm clear punchy and fast. Already racked and ready to go. Plug and play.
