I am selling this rare and very unique FENDER PRINCETON REVERB Amplifier.  It was built in the 1970’s, Silverface, Serial #A-753065. For it’s age it is in very good condition cosmetically and for sure it is EXCELLENT electronically and in performance as it has been completely gone though and serviced in every way in 2015, including fantastic modifications and upgrades that make this a one of a kind amplifier.  I would dare to say, that if one is buying a typical vintage Princeton, there is the risk that theamp, just based on age could have issues down the road.  This amp offers peace of mind because it has been gone though extensivly in detail.

I purchased it , around 2024 from a top notch musician/guitarist/songwriter, also a friend, in my region who is very well known.  He had the amplifier serviced by a noted professional guitarist in New England, who is regarded as an “amplifier wizard” and he went completely though every aspect of the amp and made great modifications.

I’ve posted the document from the professional who serviced it which gives a great explanation of what he accomplished with the sound and performance of the amp.  It lists the many things done, many of which were done to make the amp cleaner and brighter but maintain a full sound.   I can say, it is all of that but it also can really wail if desired, for me it’s been incredible. He achieved the versatility for different styles of playing by adding things such as the bright switch to choose between tube and solid state rectifier. He also went though and replaced resistors and capacitors.

FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THINGS DONE:

MODS:
Refitted with new 10” speaker, WEBER hand built Vintage Series Ferro-MAx
Dual rectifier - Tube and solid state, switchable rebuilt modern bias circuit with bias
amount pot, new bias cap
Tremolo speed, slowed down…. It is incredible, powerful and lush
Took second input jack and added in it’s place a mid-range control
Phase inverter mod
Power amp upgrade with grid stoppers & screen grid resistors on the power tubes
Filter supply re-designed, new B+ cap, new filter resistors
Bright switch on pull-pot

UPGRADES:
New place load resistors, 100K/2 watt, preamp
New renewed cathode caps, 22uf/50 volts
New  preamp tubes

I also am providing, a STUDIO SLIPS black amp cover with a side pocket which I
custom ordered.  They make great covers. Also , there is an aftermarket basic
footswitch I got for the tremolo.

In conclusion, I am selling this for two reasons.  First, I do not foresee myself
ever having a full band again but I also already own a wonderful CARR
Rambler.  So I am currently thinning out my gear, also for financial reasons.
This amplifier is truly a one of a kind and sounds absolutely remarkable in
every way, whether playing, country, blues or rock.
