Behringer Ultra Tremolo - Very Good Condition

A simple three-control layout makes the Behringer Ultra Tremolo an easy way to add everything from gentle vintage-style pulse through to much harder, choppier modulation. Inspired by the tremolo circuits found in classic amplifiers, it uses dedicated Rate, Depth and Wave controls to give considerably more control over the character of the effect than a basic fixed-voicing tremolo.

Condition

This pedal is in very good condition. It shows light cosmetic wear consistent with normal use, but presents well overall (see photos).

Most importantly, it is in very good working condition, has been checked by us in-house, and is ready to go straight into regular use.

Sound and performance

The Rate control determines how quickly the volume rises and falls, allowing everything from slow, spacious movement through to fast, pulsing tremolo. Depth controls how pronounced that volume change becomes, so the effect can sit subtly underneath your playing or become a much more obvious part of the sound.

The Wave control is particularly useful, changing the modulation waveform from a smoother triangle shape towards a harder square wave. At the smoother end, the pedal produces the rounded, flowing tremolo associated with vintage valve amplifiers. Turning it towards the square-wave side creates a more abrupt, rhythmic on/off character that works well for more pronounced or experimental sounds.

Playability and functionality

There is very little learning curve here: set the speed, decide how deep you want the effect to be, and use the Wave control to shape the movement. That simplicity makes it just as useful for adding a little movement to clean chords as it is for producing more exaggerated rhythmic effects.

Tremolo is created by repeatedly varying the level of the guitar signal rather than altering its pitch, which helps it retain the basic character of the instrument while adding movement and pulse.

A great choice if you want an inexpensive, straightforward tremolo with enough control to cover both classic amp-style movement and more pronounced choppy effects.
