The Les Paul Studio has been Gibson's working musician's Les Paul since 1983 — all the core DNA of the Standard without the binding, the figured top, or the premium price tag. The 2016 T model brought a modern weight relief system to the mahogany body — keeping the resonance and sustain intact while meaningfully reducing the shoulder fatigue that full-weight mahogany can cause over a long set. The granadillo fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, slim taper neck profile, Grover tuners with green keys, and high-gloss nitrocellulose finish round out an instrument that delivers genuine Gibson quality without the premium appointments that add cost without adding tone. Push/pull coil splitting on the volume pots gives you single-coil tones from the same guitar, opening up the tonal range considerably for players who want versatility alongside the classic Les Paul voice. Set up and playing great. No fret wear. A few impressions in the neck finish and some marks on the back, none of which affect playability or feel in any meaningful way — the guitar presents really nicely overall. The d-tuner on the low E tuner shaft is slightly bent but fully functional. Comes with the original Gibson teardrop gig bag.
