This is a quality Backun Protégé Bb Clarinet featuring Cocobolo wood and silver-plated keys. The instrument has been stored and will need professional service and maintenance before being played regularly.
There is a minor crack in the bell that should be evaluated by a professional technician to determine whether it can be repaired or if replacing the bell would be the better option.
I owned this clarinet for about 6 years and absolutely loved playing it throughout high school. I ultimately decided not to pursue band in college, and it has been sitting unused ever since. I think it deserves to be played and enjoyed again.
It is a beautiful, high-quality instrument that should be a fantastic clarinet again with a little TLC.
