In well used condition, but sounds super sweet. This is the analog compact phaser with the longest phase cycle out there - about 16 seconds. Great tone with dirt in front of it. Has the early Boss details including the silver screw, 4-digit stamped production code, the clear switch and the early "momentary" LED - it does not stay on when the effect is on which was a super strange idea even then. This also did not work right when I got it. Someone previously had 1) done an incorrect 9v mod, 2) replaced one of the original Raytheon CD3403 quad self-shorting IC chips with a modern (not self-shorting) equivalent and C) had replaced the rate pot with one of the same value but incorrect taper - put in a linear taper instead of a reverse log pot. When turning the rate pot there was no increase in speed until there was only about 5% of the turn left, then it just jumped up from super slow to super fast. I took out the attempted 9v mod and did it correctly, then removed the modern quad chip and replaced it with an NOS 1979 Raytheon CD3403 chip (I have a nice supply of these as they were often used in early Boss pedals) and finally put in the correct taper pot and tweaked the calibration. Works perfectly now and sounds warm and swirly. I love these set to the slowest speed with a dirt pedal in front (like an OD-1).
