Vintage Japanese JAX-240 Acoustic Equalizer

Up for grabs is an incredibly rare piece of vintage Japanese gear history: a 1970s Jax JAX-240 Acoustic Equalizer. If you love quirky, rare MIJ effects, or you're trying to build a truly unique tone shaping setup, this box is a total conversation starter.
In fact, if you follow Joe Bonamassa, you might already know about these — he famously keeps an old JAX-240 on his board as a secret weapon for dial in shaping.

Unlike a standard modern graphic EQ pedal, this vintage unit uses a multi-frequency acoustic curve network housed in a classic, vintage style chassis.

It is brilliant for adding unique midrange texture, smoothing out harsh highs, or giving a direct acoustic or electric signal a warm, distinctly analog voice that plug ins and modern digital pedals can't replicate.

This unit is in good vintage condition. The original tolex and faceplate show some minor wear from minor use. All of the sliders move well, the jacks are solid, and the pedal functions as it should.
