The Electro-Voice Evolve 90 is the first column array system built around an 18" subwoofer — a meaningful step up from the Evolve 50 and 70, and a genuine option for events and venues that previously required a full installed or touring rig.

The column array uses 8 x 4.7" neodymium drivers with custom waveguides producing 120° horizontal and an asymmetrical 25° vertical coverage pattern. That vertical asymmetry is deliberate — it keeps consistent SPL across the audience without blasting the back wall or leaving the front row in the mud. FIR DSP processing handles phase alignment across the system. Max SPL is 134 dB, and the 18" sub with a 3" voice coil and laminar flow vent reaches down to 28 Hz.

Setup is the Evolve's signature two-click modular system — subwoofer, connector pole, and column snap together quickly without tools. The whole system packs into the included carry bag, and EV's focus on efficient components and cabinet construction keeps the weight manageable for a one- or two-person load-in.

The integrated mixer covers all the connectivity bases: XLR/TRS combo inputs, stereo RCA, AES/EBU digital audio, and Bluetooth for streaming. The onboard LCD handles on-location setup and optimization, and the QuickSmart DSP mobile app gives you full wireless control from your phone.
