For sale is my Mesa/Boogie Triple Crown TC-50 50-watt tube head, purchased new by me from Sweetwater approximately six years ago. I am the original owner, and the amp is in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order. It's been babied in my smoke free studio the whole time, and never gigged out, and rarely turned up louder than "3."
Included are the original Mesa/Boogie six-button footswitch and owner's manual.
The Triple Crown TC-50 is one of Mesa's most versatile high-gain designs, combining the company's legendary American high-gain heritage with the punch, immediacy and harmonic character of an EL34-powered 50-watt output section. Compared with the huge, somewhat looser character traditionally associated with a Rectifier, the Triple Crown can be extremely tight, focused and articulate, making it particularly well suited to hard rock, metal, progressive music and other styles where clarity and definition under high gain are important.
At the same time, this is far from a metal-only amp. Its three independent channels and six modes cover an enormous range—from genuinely beautiful clean sounds through pushed and British-flavored crunch to saturated modern high gain. Each channel has its own Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence and Master controls, making the TC-50 much more flexible than a typical single-purpose high-gain head.
The amp also has an unusually comprehensive feature set, including all-tube spring reverb, tube-buffered effects loop, footswitchable Solo boost, MIDI capability, CabClone direct output, headphone output and an internal load for silent operation. It can also run EL34, 6L6 or compatible 6V6 power tubes with the appropriate factory bias setting.
What can I tell you, this amp is a monster and sounds insanely good regardless if you’re playing the Green clean channel, the Blue crunch channel or the Red hi gain channel (footswitch controlled.) Through a good closed-back cabinet this is a seriously powerful 50-watt amp, with enormous punch and volume available while retaining the tightness and articulation for which the Triple Crown is known. (The 2x12 Mesa cab I’ve had it paired with is also for sale, separately.)
Cosmetically, the head presents extremely well. There is some light scuffing/wear around the edges of the carrying handle, (see photos 19-20) consistent with normal use and shown in the photographs. Otherwise there are no visible signs of wear.

A great opportunity to pick up a very clean, complete example of one of Mesa/Boogie's most versatile high-gain tube heads. It excels at metal and hard rock, but works really well across the board.
