Here we have a perfectly preserved 40 year old Rickenbacker 360/12 in the preferred Fireglow finish. I am the second owner of the guitar. The original owner installed Schaller straplocks. the bridge cover is presently removed and in the case. For those who understand, maple body guitars have a tone that sweetens as they age. The highs bloom instead of sounding shrill. This 1986 Rickenbacker checks all of the boxes. Stereo Rick-o-Sound jacks work exactly as they should, if that’s your thing. I typically run my Rickenbackers in mono as it’s easier while switching guitars in live settings. However you wish to use her, she sits nicely in the mix. When it’s her time to shine, she can erupt with that exact expected jangle heard on countless records. If you’re a Tom Petty, REM, Beatles, or Byrds fan, those tones all exist here. Through a Vox AC30, she is iconic. Through a Deluxe Reverb, she is equally refined. Live, I’m typically using Boogies or Matchless offerings. The tone and vibe are undeniable. I’m a 56 year old former touring professional. I have acquired a substantial amount of guitars over the years. I now have more than I can care for.
