Ludwig Vistalite 1976 - Acrylic

Up for sale is this incredibly cool rare piece of mid-1970s Ludwig History-a Vistalite, Pattern C, 3 band acrylic, snare drum in a striking Black/ Clear/Black striped configurations known for their thunderous, powerful attack, and crystalline stage presence. Vintage multi band Vistalite snares are highly prized by collectors and players alike.

Features:

-Shell, Construction: 6mm thick, molded, acrylic, shell in factory original Pattern C(Black/Clear/Black) .

-Badge Details: original mid 70s Ludwig, Blue & Olive (B/O)parallelogram badge with sharp, pointed corners.

-Serial No.# stamped 7 digit, #1610191 ( Dates precisely to 1976)

-Hardware: outfitted with 8 large classic lugs, original triple flanged, chrome, hoops. Functional P85 strainer., and original large -knob, internal tone control, felt muffler. factory detail / Ludwig P32 but plate is fully intact and has the script block ,Ludwig Logo stamped on it.

-Condition:

The drum isn’t very good vintage shape. The acrylic shell shows fantastic clarity, rich color, separation, and no evidence of structural wrapping. The factory, internal muffler and large, mounting screw mechanism are fully in tact and functional perfectly. The exterior chrome hardware displays standard light surface cosmetic pitting in micro scuffs appropriate for a 50 year old studio workhorse, but will polish up beautifully.
