1963 Gibson Firebird 1 • Original • Early 4 piece Body • Only 80 Made • No Repairs/Changes • Sunburst • HC

In 1963, Gibson introduced the Firebird mid-year, they produced only eighty Firebird 1's in total.
Original early 1963 production has a four piece neck/body and no red Firebird on the pickguard.
Very few of the 80 are the 4 piece body variants ,some estimate as low as 30.
This is an early production four piece body with a low 138xxx serial number.
That's pretty rare.

By the end of 1963 Gibson adopted a 7 piece body construction and stamped a red firebird on the pickguard.

Finding an original, no changes, no repairs, early Firebird One is pretty hard.
Finding a 1963 is even harder considering they made some 80 Firebird 1's in 1963 and some 420 in 1964.
This is one of those 80 total 1963 Firebirds, how many are left unrepaired, how many left are in the initial production of "logo-less or birdless pickguard" Firebirds?

A little research shows that almost every 1963 listed in the last few years has an excuse, a headstock break, a pickup route or is a refin.
