this shell has a ugly scarf joint on the outside. these are the type of shells i will typically save for myself or build for friends or locals but we have more than we need for those purposes so its a great chance for a beginers project or a good chance for those who are frugal like me to still get the great tone at a lower price. this shell is being sold as-is

13x7 maple, steambent semi-solid snare drum Shell by Erie drums and shells. It is made from 2 plies of 1/8" thick steambent Hardwoods with a 1/4" total thickness. Our new 2 ply semi-solid shells give you all the purity of tone of a solid shell steambent, but without the restrictions to openness of tone caused by reinforcement rings. These are extremely open and full in tonal range, but much more controlled than a traditional steambent. The shells are 1/4" thick. This is a bare shell with no edges or beds. edges, beds and a basic lug position layout are available for an extra $30 charge. shell can be cut to any depth at no additional charge. Have us build this into a complete badged drum for $250 extra. Thanks for looking.
