TEAC X-3 stereo reel to reel tape deck, made in Japan, early 1980s. Three motors, three heads, 7 inch reels, two speeds (3-3/4 and 7-1/2 ips), quarter track stereo.

TESTED AND WORKING. I recorded a video running every function: play, record, fast forward, rewind, pause, both speeds, VU meters, source and tape monitoring, mic and line inputs, headphone output.

CONDITION, READ THIS PART

Working but unserviced. It has not been to a technician for belts, calibration, or head alignment, and I am not representing it as a calibrated machine. It runs, it records, it plays back, and it sounds right. If you want a deck that has been gone through by a tech, buy one of those instead and expect to pay double.

Heads and pinch roller are photographed close up, judge the wear yourself. Cosmetically there are light scratches and marks on the cabinet and front panel, all shown in the photos. No reels and no tape are included, deck only. The AC power cord is attached. RCA line in and line out on the rear.
