Martin Magna Baritone: a highly sought-after professional horn that represents the peak of the Martin saxophone production. It's famous for its dark, powerful, "barking" tone and mechanical flourishes (compared to the classic Committee models). Distinctive Features of the Magna include beautiful engravings & finishes, mechanical upgrades (i.e., added rollers on left pinky), and ergonomic keywork.
Playing Characteristics
Sound & Response: Low Bb models like the 1959 Magna are known to have a slightly more open and resonant feel than Low A horns, making them excellent for cutting through a mix in jazz, R&B, or big band settings.
This instrument comes with the storage case, multiple mouthpieces and case, and multiple neck straps (all varying).
