Part of a percussion collection here in the shop on consignment: This is a hand-made Nigerian "talking drum" or "gangan" in good condition. It includes the curved playing mallet. Measures approximately 12" tall and had a 6" diameter. According to the owner this was the master drum of Francis Awe (well-known player/teacher in LA).

DISCLAIMER: Due to the nature of used and vintage gear, all listings are sold "as-is." We try our best to take detailed pictures and write accurate descriptions. Our goal is to clearly capture the overall condition of each item. We might not be able to capture every minute detail in the 25 pictures allowed, but we are happy to take additional pictures upon request. For guitars: we verify they are functional and make note of cosmetic and/or structural details. They may or may not be set up to your liking, and they may not have the tone you want. We are a drum shop that happens to sell guitars, basses, and amps for some of our customers. We do not set up guitars/basses or service amps. Also, we cannot guarantee finishes will be a close or perfect match to your other drum(s), guitar, etc.

Our shipping rates are based off hundreds of past sales. Check out our reviews. A common theme is the quality of the packing. We want things to arrive safely. Most Reverb orders ship with Reverb Safe Shipping which is signature required on orders over $100. If we use a shipping label from another provider the item will be insured for the full purchase amount. If you would like to specify "no signature required" please let us know at the time of purchase so we can ship accordingly. Items returned to sender due to failed delivery attempts will not be eligible for shipping refunds. We typically do not ship orders on Saturdays and Sundays. DUE TO AN INCREASE IN TIME-WASTING NON-PAYING OFFERS, WE HAVE STARTED MESSAGING BUYERS ASKING THAT THEY CONFIRM THEIR INTENTION TO PAY WITHIN THE 72 HOURS PROVIDED BY REVERB. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL UNPAID ORDERS AT ANY TIME IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO PAYMENT INQUIRIES.
