SRD Rockman by Tom Scholz! You too can sound like your favorite album from those heady high school days (if you're that vintage, lol). Got this a few months back, tried it out, works just fine with the following caveats: 1) the slider switches are a little 'indeterminate' - they work, but they can be a little finicky when you switch something from 'off' to 'on', or 'echo' to 'chorus' to 'normal' - you just may have to slighly nudge / wiggle it to engage it to do what you want it to do; 2) when I was checking it out for possible sale on Reverb, noticed that one of the battery terminal springs was broken off; it was still in the compartment, but loose (and yet, the device still operated fine), so I pulled the PC board (gently), fashioned a replacement from a battery terminal spring I found on South American River / Rainforest Shopping Site, soldered it up, tested it, and voila! works just great! I think maybe the LED light wasn't working when the terminal was broken (I noticed when I initially plugged it in, that the LED light wasn't working), but now it does, so maybe that was the power path for the LED? 3) In taking the back off to access the PCB, I ended up with a small plastic tab and an odd shaped metal piece on my desk that - when putting it back together - have no idea where they go; not even sure they came from inside the device. At any rate, they're pictured, included 4) Had to find a replacement #6 32 thread screw 1/4" length to secure the belt clip, used a small washer to ensure the screw did not dent / touch / pierce the PCB inside. Okay, with all that said, this thing does sound great through headphones - the chorus, the gain, it's all there. If you want to play with the gain to suit your taste and /or your pickups (single coils vs humbuckers vs P90s), there's the little blue plastic dial on the back that you can dial back and forth. Battery cover works, tabs on top and bottom still intact, best to remove or at least loosen the screws holding the two halves of the case together and just let the cover pop out from the pressure of the battery springs rather than try to pry the cover off with a screwdriver while it's still tightly screwed together, i.e., the cover is in there good and tight. I'll throw in some batteries, and if I can manage to throw up a short YT video just demonstrating that it works, I will - be warned, might just be a clip trying to pick up sound from my headphones. Will throw in a set of new AA batteries.
