Sunn 412S 1971(Pre-Fender)

Here is a unloaded 1971 Sunn 412S cab. These came loaded with 4 Sunn Transducer speakers with aluminum domes and were rated for 240 watts.

The speakers are long gone but I was able to get the year via their serial numbers as the spec plate is missing. These spec plates would have the serial number, rating and model.

This cab is a project and will need some new speaker jacks and screws for the back panel. The age is apparent but there is no major structural damage and baffle, bracing are very clean! The grill attaches on a few points but is slightly warped on the bottom right. Still looks good cosmetically.

Will need a little TLC to get it working.

This is not the same cab as the Fender era ones. Fender bought out Sunn in 1985 and those come with standard speaker jack panels. This one is from the early 70s and comes with the 4 recessed jacks or "jack cups." Picture only shows 3 but this will come with all 4 so you can wire it up with two speaker inputs as you need one on each side of the back panel.
