Up for sale is a rare, recently refreshed 2004 Taylor 355ce-L7 12-String Jumbo acoustic-electric guitar, built as part of Taylor’s highly sought-after 2004 Fall Limited Edition run. What sets this specific L7 model apart from standard 300-series models is its stunning, heavily figured Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides. Often compared to Hawaiian Koa, Tasmanian Blackwood delivers an exceptional tonal blend: a warm, blooming midrange combined with a crisp, bright top-end sparkle that ages beautifully. Paired with a solid Sitka Spruce top and Taylor's resonant Jumbo body shape, this 12-string produces a massive, balanced wall of sound with incredible natural projection and shimmer.
This guitar features a Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access and comes factory-equipped with the upgraded new Claria electronics for transparent, stage-ready acoustic amplification. The controls for the Claria system are adjusted with the existing ES knobs on the upper bout bass side. Free of ANY dings or scratches outside of one small ding on the top, directly down from the bridge about an inch away from the edge of the top - lower bout, treble side. This instrument is in Very Good to Excellent condition. It has recently been through the Taylor factory repair center for a full refresh package which includes:
- Back & Sides refinish
- NT neck reset
- Adjusted truss rod
- Dressed frets
- New nut and saddle
- Installed with Claria system using existing ES knobs
