Vintage Slingerland bass drum, serial number like 222278 with a black and silver Niles badge points to production around 1974–1976. In Fair condition, has some rust spots on bottom (see photo), and overall reflects wear and tear of a 50-year old drum. I have used this on several gigs, and the sound is still very good. The claws, tension rods and spurs are not original, but similar vintage. Hoops are virtually new.
