Gretsch USA Custom 26" x 14" Bass Drum 1980's Square Badge - Maple - Natural - EXCELLENT

When is the last time you saw a vintage 26" Gretsch bass drum?!?! And from the 80's at that! This drum is a beast! The drum tunes up easily and sounds as massive as you'd think! I measured the depth and it is actually a little under 14". The chrome hardware looks excellent for the most part. The lugs do have tiny signs of age when viewed up close but absolutely no rust or bad scratches. From a foot away its absolutely stunning. The shell's finish is in excellent condition as well. Some minor scuffs and very superficial impression marks (see last photo) on the exterior of the finish. These are all clear marks, so you really gotta look for them, they are on the side of the drum where a ride cymbal stand must have rubbed against the shell. I cleaned this drum but did NOT wax or buff the shell for those wondering. The techware spurs and anchor all work great. Both bass drum hoops are in excellent condition, a few impression marks around the hoops from the Claws. Gretsch branded Remo Black Dot heads. The batter head has some tape residue and one small dent, it is in excellent shape otherwise and has TONS of life left. The resonant head presents beautifully. This drum is 100% ready to go! I have a matching 12" x 14" tom listed as well as the double tom mount.

Note worthy items:

• 1 of the T- Rods is bent, the threaded portion. It still turns and tunes up properly but I wanted to mention it. It is not scratched or look bad when in use. I didn't even notice until I took it apart to clean.
• The inner ply chipped out at the tom mount hole. The previous owner had a piece of silver tape over top of the hole which left a bit of tape residue. Please see the photo.
• Batter bass drum hoop has marks on the underside from the bass drum pedal clamp.
• The batter head has some tape residue and one small dent.

Due to its size, I would prefer to schedule a local pickup, I am also willing to drive a bit to meet you. Yes, I could ship this but it will cost a lot and be a huge pain. Message me if you'd like to discuss either option.
