The AMS DMX 15-80S was introduced around 1978 as one of the earliest digital delay and pitch-shifter units. The later S-DMX (this model) is an upgraded, stereo version with expanded memory, improved control options and greater reliability. In essence, the S-DMX refined and extended the original 15-80S design for more professional, flexible studio use.
