The drum is in great vintage pre-owned condition for its age. I slightly refurbished the drum. Basically it just needed a good cleaning and the bearing edges were almost flat, like a lot of MIJ stencils, so I sanded them to a 30 degree slight round over edge, for a nice warm vintage tone. The snare throw off is the cool baseball bat style. The Remo Soundmaster heads are (more than likely) original, and look like a 12 year old kid may have practiced on them 3 times for about a half an hour, but they are at least 50 to 60+ years old.. So, the snare would sound way better with some fresh new heads.. lol
