This is an insane rig - essentially a SVT 4 Pro but in preamp/power amp form, with an added cooling fan and Furman power strip/surge suppressor. And way cooler
SVP Pro Preamp
The preamp is in great shape and was definitely taken care of. This is not a noisy unit as far as I can tell. None of the pots or sliders are scratchy and everything appears to work well. This was tested from the preamp out into a load box and into a JDI. I have not opened it to see what tubes are in there. There is a slight hiss with the master at 3:00 and up, but at that point you are risking breaking windows in whatever building you're in...
When the preamp is initally powered on, there is a noticeable hum from the transformer that almost dissapears after 3 seconds or so, down to barely audible with the signal muted. This is most noticeable when the preamp is first powered on after sitting off for a while.
SVP 1500 Power Amp
This has more cosmetic wear than the preamp. The bottom right rack ear is slightly deformed, I carefully tried to bend it straight without damaging the paint too much but the sheet metal for the face plate is very thick. Both channels appear to function properly and the signal and limit lights appear to work for both channels. The fan blows air out the front of the unit and works fine.
This is all housed in a new 4U carpeted rack enclosure with added rear rails. I added a new Procool 1U rack fan to exhaust hot air out the back of the case. The Pre and Power amp are mounted to the bottom edge of the case with gravity, leaving a ~1/8" gap at the top for air to be pulled through the rack in addition to what the power amp is doing. The power strip is a Furman surge suppressor velcroed to the bottom. The front screws I made out of stainless 10/32 screws, rubber washers and decorative washers all sprayed matte enamel black.
I have two banana to 1/4" speaker cables included for stereo or mono bridge operation.
This thing is heavy, like 60 lbs. So imagine hoisting a bag of concrete onto your cabinet. But good luck finding something else that sounds this good and puts out this much power.
I am willing to ship this, but you have to pay for the first $50. It will most definitely be a lot more than that.
I will not split these up, sorry.
